Seamless Victorian Rose Pattern

I love the delicate simplicity in this Victorian Rose pattern. It seems difficult to duplicate such a pattern, turning the roses around at a precise angle and making sure they all fit in a way that doesn't make it looked too "stuffed" or too empty in a single area. I also like the focus in the center, the faded swirl and the lighting upon this piece that gives it its antique feeling.

  1. Victorian wallpaper patterns are very intense. Any idea where this one came from? I'm interested in how it was shot-- is the image a piece in itself or is it a sample of wallpaper? The way it is lit and the swirl in the center makes the middle of the image seem to bulge out, as if it were three dimensional.

  3. Strange because if this were on my wall I don't think I would imagine feeling warm or invited. The roses have a metallic color which indicates coolness, detachment. I think if there were brighter colors I'd feel warmer. And for some reason I think that this piece looks like someone photoshopped it to bulge and have that circular shape in the center.
