Quilt or Decorative Throw by Caroline Brooks Gould
I found this piece on the MoMa website. I really like the variation of color between the different hexagons. The black and red one towards the center creates a focal point, and from there the image collapse inwards onto itself. The light colors on the outside of the picture, to me, convey space.

I like this piece too. It is amazing how the artist made hexagon using flowers.
ReplyDeletei agree. the way the artist created such an involved pattern out of just carefully placed flowers is cool. i at first did not see the lighter colored flowers in between the darker colored ones because they just blended in to the background.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest i cant say if i like it or not, but whaqt i do find very cool is the way it pulss your eyes in and then the painting almost starts to radiat, and move.
